Rise to Fries - About Us

We have been in business within the Port Severn, Waubaushene Georgian Bay area for over 25 years. If you have lived or vacationed in the local Muskoka/Georgian Bay area you may remember back in the 1990’s when we used to serve Derek Roberts Burgers and Fries on what used to be Hwy 69 just north of Port Severn. We are now in our new location at 430 Pine St in Waubaushene since 2005!
In this picture the couple on the left are Derek and Gloria Greasley the original founders of Derek Roberts and to the right is me (Teresa) and my husband Rik who joined us later on.
Our business has always been a family affair, my parents were the main bootstrappers with a relentless entrepreneurial spirit that has served this area for many years. I post this picture in honour of my mother’s memory and all that she taught me throughout my life.

Ok enough about us…. our latest offering is Rise to Fries, our very own concept of original hand cut twice fried French fries, hot dogs, and our secret Rise to Fries sauce. We offer locally grown potatoes from Fer-Mar Farms and ecofriendly packaging and ethically sourced ingredients. We would like to do our part in keeping our footprint small while still delivering quality and tasty food. We believe you’re the ketchup to our fries! Come on in and give us a try!
